We are a nonprofit organization committed to empowering Djiboutian-Americans through advocacy, mentorship, education, and cultural pride. Whether you’re new to Seattle or a longtime resident, our mission is to create a strong, united community where every voice is heard, every culture is celebrated, and every person has the tools to thrive.

Our Mission

To empower and uplift the Djiboutian-American community in Seattle through advocacy, mentorship, cultural preservation, education, and economic support. We aim to foster unity, resilience, and leadership while addressing the unique challenges faced by our community in Seattle. Together, we create a future where every individual is supported and has the tools to succeed.

Youth Mentorship

Our mentorship program connects Djiboutian youth with positive role models who guide them in academic achievement, personal development, and leadership.

Community Wellness

DACS provides support for mental health, housing access, and immigrant services while advocating for the needs of the Djiboutian-American community at the city and state levels.

Cultural Heritage

Our cultural heritage programs not only foster a deep sense of identity and pride but also share our vibrant culture with the broader Seattle community, enriching the city's multicultural fabric.
